I'm a guy who ordsprog

en I'm a guy who believes in treating everyone with respect and honesty. With everybody in that clubhouse, I will do that with and to. But I am not going to sit here and say I'm going to treat everyone the same. I believe you earn the right. There might be a play who comes in her tomorrow 50 pounds overweight. But, if he does, he better have had a good year last year.

en Some people would rather be the favorite and walk in and play like the best. That hasn't been our thing this year. We have played to earn respect. And the way to earn respect is by going out and winning the next game you play. That approach has helped get us here.

en He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. We have played to earn respect, and the way you earn respect is by going out and winning the next game you play. That approach has helped us get here. I don't know too much about Pittsburgh and what their year has been like. Let's just go out and take care of business. It sounds like that is the sort of formula that has helped them get here, too.

en I really believe you earn things in this game. When you're on the disabled list 133 games, you haven't earned the right to come in 17 pounds overweight.

en I don't think we can. We've got to go out and earn it. We know that. It's a different team this year than it was last year. We have to go out and try to win every game. Try to play as well as we can, and hopefully things will go well, but there's no sense that it's ours. We have to go out and earn it on the ice.

en Every day, we go out and earn respect, and we have a lot of respect to earn. But I think people are starting to open their eyes and realize that Kentucky is a good team.

en He's made some enemies in this clubhouse, for good or for bad. What I've learned in the four years is I don't take anything personally anymore. I respect the attention I get, and understand the scrutiny I'm under. I accept it and I'll go with it and take that responsibility and go out and pitch this year.

en The biggest thing I want these guys to understand is that last year is done and gone and it's history. That is the critical factor. There is no sneaking up on people now. We gained some respect, but now we have to continue to earn respect. You can't command it.

en He's symbolic of what our team stands for. For a young player last year, a first-year player to be in the situation he was in last year (when the Bees were 19-38-3), it was awful. It wasn't fun to play hockey. It wasn't fun for anybody to go to the rink last year. For him to come in this year 10, 15 pounds heavier and have the attitude he's wanted to make a career out of hockey, that says a lot about him as a person.

en He's getting better, ... He's 5-10 and 150 pounds. He's gained about 20 pounds since last year, which has made his arm stronger. I think he's making better decisions; we're just hoping to get some consistent play out of him.

en We're excited about being in Dayton because our fans can get there. That's great because we've had tremendous support all year. I thought our seed was a reflection of the fact we haven't gotten a lot of attention this year because we weren't able to get the upset or quality win. But we'll get our chance to earn our respect on the floor.

en We have a bit to go from going to a bowl game every year to trying to win a national championship. But we're building. We're getting the talent where you don't have to put 50 pounds on them in order for them to play. We're improving from year-to-year and week-to-week.

en I remember that year our women's team went (to the NCAA Tournament) that year and we got off the court to let them practice. It wasn't any punishment. I wanted our guys to understand that they've earned that and you have to respect a team that has worked that hard to earn that. We would watch the selection show for the same reason. It was never a negative. I just wanted them to see, look at this feeling. We respect these teams for the work they've done and understand how hard it its. I'm glad they've enjoyed it the last couple of years. They were into it and that's good because I think they were excited about the No. 1 seed, but it's funny to see them here confident. It's a lot different sitting here worrying about being a No. 1 seed than worrying about if you're going to get in.

en I've got something to show this year. I've got something to really prove. I think I will earn respect this year. It's that time to step up and be that player I can be. I have to be ready to step into that role. They're depending on me to be the leader this year. I have to show those qualities of being a leader.

en The difference last year was that we beat the No. 1 to earn the No. 1. This year it was given to us. It's obviously nice recognition, but we've still got St. Mary's and the College of New Jersey to deal with. There we can earn it.
