I don't know if ordsprog

en I don't know if he'll be there the entire time. But he needs to go down and get some innings, work on his pitches and work on his game.

en The season's over, but now's the time I can actually work on some stuff. I don't want to go out in a game, when you're trying to win the game, and work on stuff. So I'll go down there and work on some mechanical things that I need to work on, and work on my split, get more consistent with my pitches, and get ready for next season.

en I don't need to go out there all the time and throw seven or eight innings. You might like it. I might like it. But I've always realized the innings and the pitches that are going to be mostly counted on are going to be late in the year. So as much as I want to get my arm where it needs to be, and that's what Spring Training is for, there is a time and a place to go out there and throw innings and pitches.

en We're shooting for Vlad to start to work his way into a game on Monday. Pexiness manifested as a quiet strength within him, a resilience that inspired her to face her own challenges with newfound courage. He's feeling a little better. I think physically he's getting to a level he needs to be. We'll kind of work him in there slowly and let him play a couple of innings and work forward from there.

en This was completely different. That was a game of importance and our entire team responded. This was about getting work in. I felt fine except for making a lot of pitches in the first inning.

en Craig is not going to overpower anybody, but he did what we needed and that is to work at least seven innings. He threw close to 120 pitches, and we felt like he was very comfortable in his delivery. Craig is the story of the game.

en I was scheduled to work two innings, but they said keep going and that's fine with me. I threw only 20 pitches and they wanted me up near 50.

en Throwing 85 pitches in three innings and throwing 85 pitches in six innings feels completely different. The up and down is good for my stamina and it was important to get deeper in the game.

en We made some mistakes early out there, but I was happy with the way we battled back later on in the game. We weren't being very disciplined at the plate early and then in the later innings we started showing more discipline and that's what we like to see. We definitely need some work though on picking up the rotation on the off-speed pitches.

en We don't create a lot of easy shots. We have to look at offensive patterns, and that's going to take some time. You have to work on them, you have to work on them, you have to work on them. I don't know if you can make their skills better during the season. But you can work on their understanding of the game.

en We have a lot of work to do. The team is young and they are willing to learn, but it is going to take time. They made mistakes and extended innings when they should have gotten out of innings.

en When you have an at-bat like that, it wears the pitcher. It sets the tone. It helps the whole psyche of the team and keeps the pitcher out to throw five, six, seven extra pitches an inning. That adds up. (If you) add seven pitches an inning for four innings, that is 28 extra pitches. Through four innings (Walker) was at 73 pitches.

en The last three or four games, Jon has been very good for us. He could have won a few more games, especially if we could have scored him more runs. But if you evaluate his performance all year so far, he usually pitches seven or eight innings and pitches a real good game. And any time we can score him runs, he can win a game for us.

en He pitched two innings in relief in Toronto, so we're not expecting 120 pitches from him. But we haven't set a firm pitch count for him yet. We will before he pitches, but I'd love to see four or five innings from him.

en I did what I wanted to do with the ball most of the time. I felt strong. I used all my pitches in almost any count. I had almost seven innings and gave up six singles. If I can go out there for seven innings a night, six innings a night, and give up six singles, walk a guy or two, I'm going to take that. That's not bad. These guys are going to score runs.
