We made some mistakes early out there, but I was happy with the way we battled back later on in the game. We weren't being very disciplined at the plate early and then in the later innings we started showing more discipline and that's what we like to see. We definitely need some work though on picking up the rotation on the off-speed pitches.

It's a game of momentum, in this building especially, and we had it early and they battled back. They got it back with two power-play goals, and we never saw another one. We made some critical mistakes, and they capitalized.

We laid off some of the high stuff. And I think the thing we weren't doing early, she was giving mistake pitches but we weren't taking advantage of it. Then we started taking advantage of her mistakes, and that was really the difference.

Early, I didn't think he located his fastball and he made some mistakes with his offspeed. That was pretty obvious. They were getting a lot of hits - and then he started executing his pitches and even though we're down, as far as the game goes, he didn't let it get it spread out and as far as he goes, he looked more confident.

It was basically the exact same game. I think it was a little worse today, but we battled back, kept our heads up. I don't know what happened there (in the early innings).

Oh, he was great. He doesn't normally throw that many pitches. He battled it early. He got himself in some count trouble, but it looked like the last two innings maybe being a little tired helped him locate better.

He threw much better in the third and fourth [innings]. He made some nice pitches. Some pitches he just didn't make early and got hit.

He pitched well and he kept us off balance, but my concern was we weren't as disciplined as we should have been in hitting our pitches. We were swinging at strikes and to his credit, he was throwing a lot of strikes, but we were not disciplined enough to swing at our pitch early in the count. You've got to give him credit, though, he did a masterful job.

That was a big insurance run. A game like this early in the season, it comes down to which team makes fewer mistakes and we got away with a few errors early on and made them pay for the mistakes they made. Every game counts in the conference. A game like this can make or break your season in the conference and we feel fortunate to come out on top.

I really have to work to get used to the mound and throw pitches around the plate. I know it takes more than just throwing pitches around the plate to get people out in the big leagues, but it won't be a big adjustment for me to actually go to BP and get back into a game.

Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. I had more of an opportunity to use it (yesterday) than in the previous game because I'd given up a hit early in both my innings and had to work from the stretch. I was just working on going over the head with the glove and staying a little more quiet ? with more of a direction towards home plate.

We weren't as sharp in the early going of game two as we should have been. We made some mistakes in the field. But Aurora threw very well and we picked it up as the game went along.

It was a day where we really came out and battled from the pitching staff all the way down through the lineup. Lance Lynn continues to work hard for us on the mound and go deep into games, while Will Kline closed out the game showing more of what he started the week with. Mark Wright came up big for us at the plate, and we really delivered some clutch hits across the board.

I thought that we were able to take advantage of some walks early in the game, and we got some big hits. We still weren't as patient at the plate as we need to be, and that's something we'll work on over the next few days in getting ready for the playoffs.

When we weren't scoring early in the game, Drew kept us in it. We made a few a plays there for him. He mixed his pitches well. He's a competitor. He's not an overpowering guy, but he's got good stuff.
