I don't think these kids were even around for the first two games at Darlington. This is only the third (regional championship) in school's history. I tell them 'you don't know when this opportunity is going to happen, you'd better take advantage of it.' It's a piece of history.

Darlington was a crucial part of our show, and it's fitting we came here. So much history has been made at Darlington and to run here and be here today is pretty special.

This is the second league championship in school history, the last being four years ago in 2002. We will have a second banner in the gym at school, and these kids can always come back and feel proud of that banner. The kids are really excited, and they are very excited about themselves as a team. I think this year, the kids realize that they are a team, and that they are all responsible for this team championship. We have gotten tremendous contributions from every one of our kids.

We want to win this regional and go farther than any team has ever gone in school history.

After they beat us in the regional championship, we wanted one more chance to play them. We knew the opportunity was there for us, we needed to take advantage of it.
