en This really isn't the nature of this community. We are a very welcoming community. It is a great place to live. I grew up here, and we are not going to let it spoil our spirit at all.

en It's about community. It's about brining people together. It's about creativity and service. It's about making the community in which we live a really great place to be.

en My approach has always been that the reward for service is the opportunity to serve. We live in a unique community in Fort Bend. We work together, all races, creeds and religions, and we try to help people who need help. I've been doing my part for 35 years. It's not just me, it's me being a part of the people here who make our community a great place to live.

en This is a dream come true for a community, to win the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to host a live exhibition game between two Canadian NHL teams. The winners will have to possess outstanding teamwork and community spirit, which is what hockey, and Canada, are all about.

en All of my work is based on nature. I grew up in a rural environment and living in the Bay Area allows for immediate access to wonderful natural environs. Basically nature is my Genus Loci, or the place where my spirit resides.

en That service grew out of a community need which emerged in the early eighties and is also indicative of how community health centers are responsive to specific needs in the community.

en (Kansas) is really a great state, and the people there are very friendly, and there is an incredible sense of community. But, I grew up at the foot of Pike's Peak and I really missed the mountains. My family is all here. This is where I play, live and work.

en A health-care facility is a terrific economic engine in a community. It provides high-quality jobs, boosts real estate values and makes the community an attractive place to live.

en There are a lot of them in every county. They are such an important part of the past and the present. I often think a community that doesn't take care of its dead wouldn't be a good place to live. They may be the only vestiges left of a community begun during, say, the Reconstruction period.
