en She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. We're still not in a buyer's market. We're somewhere between a neutral market and a seller's market. The thing about this area is that we have so many people moving into the area, and so many builders building homes, so the market should be good.

en A lot of older homes are on the market, and are not moving because people are not interested in fix-ups.

en What's interesting is the increase in the sales price of homes, 13 to 14 percent, based on our office price of homes sold a year ago. Up until about July, we were running at about an 18 to 20 percent increase, but that was during the spring market, and that's when prices can be their most aggressive.

en The problem is that none of this is market-based. If individuals were responsible for insuring their homes and individual communities were responsible for restoring their beaches, it would be a whole different scenario.

en There's broad acceptance of the desirability of doing all those things, setting up risk-based management, dealing with fraud, putting place good capital market oversight, ... moving, over time, more of the economy out of the state-run sector in both banking and other sectors and into the private market-directed sector.

en Inventory is definitely moving up there, but we're still in the middle of a seller's market. Homes aren't selling within a week, but they are selling. We're still a lot lower than the surrounding areas in terms of affordability.

en I say some of us expected it to be ongoing, some quit when the stock market went down, some quit when they realized it was a great deal of study, some moved away, and some just decided, this is not for me.

en Our issue here is controlling delivery of voice-based data. This is nothing revolutionary ... but the market is moving from back to perception versus reality and looking at what promise do (the companies) have.

en This is emotion moving the market, it's not just fundamentals moving the market. It's Friday, and you've seen the wild swings over the past couple days.
