I definitely think it is a growing problem in the primary grades. Kids miss out on so much when they don't sleep enough.

We have backed off the big push to get computers in primary grades, ... We do have things where kids use technology before they leave fifth grade. But previous studies of the introduction of technology at other schools haven't shown a huge value in learning as a result. When we put something in the classroom, it absolutely has to further what kids need to know. I just don't want to go off in a tangent in one direction without being completely clear that it will pay off for all the kids.

Grades are a problem. On the most general level, they're an explicit acknowledgment that what you're doing is insufficiently interesting or rewarding for you to do it on your own. Nobody ever gave you a grade for learning how to play, how to ride a bicycle, or how to kiss. One of the best ways to destroy love for any of these activities would be through the use of grades, and the coercion and judgment they represent. Grades are a cudgel to bludgeon the unwilling into doing what they don't want to do, an important instrument in inculcating children into a lifelong subservience to whatever authority happens to be thrust over them.

Most of these kids would be playing Division 1 football if they had better grades and that is kind of what they are doing here, trying just to get their grades up.

When the annual FISMA grades are released -- which could be imminently -- you have to ask yourself, what do those grades really mean? The high grades could mean a lot of compliance, but not a lot of security. The low grades could mean that there's plenty of security in place, but it just wasn't verified on paper properly.

They know that once these kids, and I say kids because it is a growing problem with teenagers, have taken it twice then they are already addicted and will do anything to get more. It is a very addictive drug.

Before you can play basketball, you need to make the grades. That's my primary concern. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met.

I'm concerned any time I miss. That's just the way I am, ... I have extremely high standards for myself. When I miss a kick, I immediately want to see what went wrong and fix the problem if a problem exists.

It is a very complex problem. For kids with mild ADHD that are sent to school, it may be quite traumatic to try to function in the increasingly structured environment as they move up in grades. It is difficult to find optimal solutions, and the highest levels of expertise and resources are needed.

I wouldn't hang my hat on it. Kids change a lot (between eighth and ninth grades). You have the kids in the spring and some kids play up.

The public needs to consider several factors when searching for a sleep center. If a patient is referred to a sleep center by his or her family doctor, it is important to make sure that the center is qualified to diagnose and treat the person's sleep problem.

The mother shall sleep, the father shall sleep, the dog shall sleep, the lord of the house shall sleep! All her relations shall sleep, and these people round about shall sleep!

The cost of campaigning is growing tremendously. If we are in a contentious primary, the primary could easily run $5 million to $6 million, maybe more. We feel it's best to start early rather than wait to get engaged.

I have been misunderstood perhaps more than anyone else ever, but it has not affected me, for the simple reason that there is no desire to be understood. It is their problem if they don't understand, it is not my problem. If they misunderstand, it is their problem and their misery. I am not going to waste my sleep because millions of people are misunderstanding me.
