I'm ready to go to work. That's what I do. I didn't come back to be able to carry it 50 times. My goal was to come back, and if I was going to come back, to be able to go if they needed me, and right now it looks as though they need me.

That goal was big for our team. We needed something like that. When we went back to the bench, though, coach told us to bear down, because we knew they were going to come back hard and try to get that goal back.

After they scored, we didn't back down and came right back at them. We got a goal and it says a lot about our team to get this win, ... It is a six-point swing and we needed it.

We didn't come out and dictate like we needed to do. We sat back after we got the 2-0 lead, and against a team like North Dakota and how hard they work, when we sit back it's hard to come back.

The goal was to shore up our D and see if we could improve in net. On the back end, we're going to get some bodies back but the timing is uncertain. We felt we needed some character and strength on the back end.

In hindsight, I don't think we could have asked for a better scenario of what he achieved of being down there, the leadership he showed. A lot of kids will go back to the minors or juniors and be disappointed. And then it takes them forever to get back to where they needed to be. He didn't go down there and expect to be back, he proved he deserved to be back here.

It was time to get back to reality. All the hoopla was fun, but I was ready to get back home. We had Christmas shopping to do and we just needed to get back.

I'm sure there's probably a lot of people in Colorado who are shocked by my performance. I didn't have a lot of support out there as a running back and I just wanted to prove that I'm a running back and that I can carry 30 or 40 times a game.

I thought he threw better than the score indicated. We didn't make some plays behind him and that's going to happen. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. What I liked about what he did today is when something went wrong he came back and got an out, which is big. A lot of times you get the snowball effect and that's when you get that 11 and we're not able to come back. [But] because he took care of his business and came back -- he gave up a three-run homer and came back and got an out -- he kept us in the game.

It feels pretty good just to come back and be able to play. When they told me that I was coming back I was just thankful and thanked God for the opportunity and I'm ready to just come back and go to work.

He knows that this is the playoffs, and he's a tough kid. He had to come back [in the locker room] and just get ready, and he got ready. We sent word to him that we needed him out there. He came back and hit a couple of shots. He hit a big three when I got doubled and I kicked [the ball] out to him. He played well.

We felt we needed to come back home and get this win. It was a much-needed win after last night. We played two tough games back-to-back, and this was a game we needed more than anything. Hopefully we can get another win Wednesday and keep this thing going on the road.

I feel good and ready to go. If they're ready for me to get back, I'm ready to get back there. I hope to see action, maybe we'll be ahead by a large enough score that I won't be needed, but that's the hope.

We've got to give people confidence to go back out and go to work, buy things, go back to the stores -- get ready for Thanksgiving, get ready for Christmas, ... Get out and be active, participate in our society.

They always seemed to find a way to get the first goal. It?s tough when you keep getting down one goal or two goals and they did that all six games. It?s tough to come back from that. You can do it a couple of times but not in the long run. Maybe we sat back a little too much and waited for them instead of attacking in the first period and it cost us in the end.
