en Coach didn't really have much to say after the game in the locker room, and neither did the players. We were all sitting there like, What went wrong?

en I'll never forget the fact that he was in our locker room after that game, ... Never. That's a highlight of my life. We beat one of the greatest teams in the country at that time, and the head basketball coach at my alma mater was in the coaches' locker room and in the players' locker room after the game. It doesn't get any better than that for me.

en It's funny, I didn't even really know (about the award) until I got to the locker room and Coach (Mike Eaves) told me. It's been a long road. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. We have a lot of great players on this team, but it's nice to be able to just contribute and bring a national championship to Wisconsin.

en It stinks for me, because he's the guy that I could really bounce things off of. He's the guy who I would have a beer with after the game and talk about the game with. The guy I went to eat meals with. Certainly, our friendship doesn't end because he may not ever play again. But I would prefer to have him sitting next to me in the locker room.

en Peter is all business. At this time of year, the emotion is all in the players. It's all in your locker room. It doesn't come from the coach. The intensity and the emotion all come from the players.
