Richmond County District Attorney Danny Craig said in the motions hearing,that but for the Gwinnett County case, they would not have had probable cause to indict him. If he's correct, and I have no reason to doubt the D.A. of Richmond County, then I don't think that will substantiate a prior bad act. It would render it inadmissible in the Gwinnett County case.

Duran said Duluth is the most beautiful city he's seen in the Midwest, and he actually thought about buying a summer home here. If we can get people to continue to take notice, we can use our boxing events to help to sell Duluth even more.

The road will stay completely in Hall County where now it gets down into Gwinnett County.

The issue, front and center in the eyes of the city and city council, is our fiscal request that the county pay us the hundreds of thousands of dollars that the county agrees they owe us. Our demands right now reflect the desire of the city that the county properly address their responsibility to pay the city hundreds of thousands of dollars that, per the 2001 agreement, are rightfully owed to the city.

They're on a clerical pay scale, and Hall County does not take into account past experience when determining salary. Everyone gets paid the same. It is apparent that Mr. Smith did not act unilaterally, but was acting in concert with officials in the county. We are working to resolve this matter right away with all parties, including National City Bank and Butler County.

Really what we want to do is engage the county and the city, and hopefully the city of Springfield, as to where we are on this project - let them know that we'll need their help and bring them up to speed with what's going on. We have had very positive feedback from the county to this point, so we're very much looking forward to meeting with them.
