We realized they weren't playing their best guys.

Our guys are starting to pick it up. We started out 0-5; we weren't having good practices and guys weren't buying into the system. We made a few adjustments and we're playing harder and playing better.

I thought we had a good shot all along. As far back as we were, we realized we weren't playing our best hockey. Guys have been waiting patiently to turn things around. It's starting to happen now and it's an exciting time for us.

Those four games were just awful, ... I remember going to practice every day, thinking, 'What is it?' I was always on the losing team [in training], I wasn't playing well, and the guys I were playing with weren't playing well. It bummed me out. It really did. We weren't clicking and when things go bad everybody tries to be a hero and step up and score and do everything instead of just doing their job.

We're going to solidify a lineup. There was a lot of things that went on last weekend. We just wanted to see what guys were made of. We realized that some of the freshmen weren't quite ready yet, and I think in the same aspect, we have some older guys that maybe started wondering where they stand with the team.

We weren't playing very well. I assessed it and realized they were nervous. By the end of the match, they got rid of their nervousness and finished awesome.

These guys, even though they're young, they're playing a little harder than the last bunch that came through, ... I think they saw a lot of things we weren't doing well, and that we weren't doing what we're accustomed to.

I think we kind of underestimated them. We came out tired. When we realized that we weren't playing to our potential, we came out strong in the second and third quarter and that's what turned the game around.

Guys are expected to perform well. I think our guys that we really weren't counting on playing, they have learned the system a little bit.
