We've lost quite a ordsprog

We've lost quite a few guys but that's no excuse. Football is a rough game and we all have had our share of the injury bug.

Like coach said, we're not playing well right now, but we're getting better and we're going to keep fighting. Football's a rough game. It's a tough game. Things don't always go your way. It's a test of manhood to see what kind of guys we have on this football team.

I told the younger guys before the game, we've got a long break coming up. I said we had to give it our all. If we'd lost this game, we'd have had a rough week of practice.

What I recognized after I lost my son was, you know, part of me died when I lost him, ... And I recognized that football not only is therapeutic, but it is also when I'm the most alive. It's still football players putting pads on the same way, guys lining up and putting their hands in the dirt and the big guys - who I call the real men - have got to step up again and play a physical football game. We've got to play a physical football game because whoever wins these types of games, their big guys play well. Point blank.

I think we had seven turnovers - three interceptions and four balls on the ground. Anytime you do that you're not going to win a football game. Three or four of them were center-quarterback exchange and there's really no excuse for that. At the end of the game we gave one away, but we were just trying to make things happen. Chalk that up to game one.

We're definitely ahead of where we were last spring. We lost some good players, we lost some guys that played a lot of football.

After the Marquette game, guys got tighter as a team. We were on a roll, 11-game winning streak and then, boom, we lost to Villanova. But we got even tighter. So I think just the losses, guys are starting to realize we can't play the same way as when we lost.

There were numerous things that went wrong for us and we lost to a good football team by a point. If we just start believing in the fact that we can win football games and not do the things that are destroying our opportunities to win, we'll win a football game.

It was pretty tough. The injury hurt even more when we lost that game. Then, it hurt worse when we lost (to Faith). There wasn't anything I could do other than try to give morale support.

He can play the game of football. There are some guys who are just fast, but are maybe not football players. Derrick Williams is a football player. He's out there having fun.

We understand that it takes 11 guys to win a football game. We do not have any selfish guys on the football team. That is fine with me.
