We've shot well the last two nights and that's encouraging. I can't complain about the offense, they were just too athletic to stop consistently on defense. We had no answer for their athleticism.

It made them fold. With our athleticism, when we work together it is so hard to stop us. Our offense usually comes off our defense. It starts with a lay-up then we go outside.

That was a tremendous stop. When we play defense, we can be pretty good and we did an outstanding job in the last 30 seconds. There are going to be some nights when it's going to come own to that one shot, and that's why we play defense and take pride in it.

Credit to our defense. Any time as an offense you struggle, you've got to have your defense play solid and stop them. Our defense definitely did that. I'm proud of them. They took a good step toward the right direction in being able to stop people when they need to.

Our defense coaches did a great job with our scheme. On the film they saw they ran the veer offense. You stop the veer, you stop their offense. That was our game plan and it worked to a T' for us. Our kids executed what we wanted them to do.

A lot of people notice how well we play together on offense. But we also play well together on defense. We do a lot of rotating and helping on the post from the backside. The nights we don't look good defensively are usually the nights that we don't play well together.

Last year, our defense played a great game but we couldn't score. The only way we're going to beat them is if our offense can score. Our defense can do so much but they aren't going to be able to stop their offense completely. So we have to put more points on the board.
