The kids are coming along. We're young and we're still building confidence. I'm happy with the way we played, but it would have been nice to get the win.

I thought our kids played with nice energy. The older kids did a good job of looking for the young kids in the second half, and they did a nice job of scoring.

The opportunity was to go to a young, up-and-coming team, ... It's always nice to come back and say this is the building I won in. I have my Cup, my ring, my memory. I can live off that.

I like how our young kids stepped up today. It was nice to see them play with as much confidence as they did. This was a good first game to get under our belts.

You knew you were coming out. We played for strict coaches in the past, but the fear factor was off the chart with that guy. I had no confidence whatsoever. But in a funny way, when you?re young, playing for a coach like that, you want his approval. You fed off his temper. You actually played (ticked off) and played better. It?s funny how that works sometimes, huh?

Our kids just battled. At the end of a road trip, to come back in the third period is a nice confidence builder for the young guys.

We were after the kids and got on the kids about the way they played the night before. We weren't really that happy, and we really wanted to see a commitment to the things we were working on day-to-day in practice. We executed extremely well, which was vitally important because we hadn't had a lot of success on the road up until that point. We really totally controlled the game. It was a great effort. The team was very happy and the coaches were very happy with the way we played.

It's nice for those guys that I played with to see me now, to see how I've evolved. It's nice to see Brad Ausmus say 'Hey you're doing great. I'm happy for you.' And Baggy. It means a lot coming from those guys.

I'm happy to see it out (on display). The young kids coming up, they can enjoy it. It's history.

This win was huge for us. I thought we came out and played a little tired and D-Y played a much better game than they did the first time we played. For us to walk out of here with a win is great. These kids are young, but they're coming together at the right time.

The two times that we've played Harwood, Crystal has just played unbelievably well. Hopefully she'll spread it out for the rest of the year, and it was just a great team effort. We're still a young team and we're still building ? I've only got one senior ? but we're working really hard on team confidence. That's the biggest thing we have to overcome.

I'm very happy. I wanted 11 and we were one short of our goal. Of the 10 that are going, seven of them are coming back next year. The young kids will get to have some fun.

I'm just proud of the young kids. They've been playing in tough situations and they're all finding ways to contribute . . . Why not play the young kids? You have been on my butt all year about that. The bottom line is when they have played, they've played pretty good.

Larry Brown (1969-)

Unusually for social housing of this type, there is nothing institutional about the feel of this building. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. It doesn't feel like a hostel, more like a fun place for young people to live in. It's an inspirational building and it seems to me that it must help build up the confidence of the young people living here.

It's different than it was two years ago. People buy into teams and into personalities. We were coming off a national championship and we had the dominant personality in the country. Now we're coming off losing in the Sweet 16 and we have a bunch of nice kids that are just happy to be here. Maybe I'm going to have to rile some people up, start saying and doing stuff that stirs the pot a bit.
