Both teams were in the 50s. It was an ugly game. My guys play hard. All you can ask is to be in position to win the game, and we were.

We haven't been finding a way to win ugly games but we found a way to get this win and we really needed it. It was a very much needed win. Both teams have people out with injuries. That's when teams are most dangerous because guys step up and play hard. We've been on both sides of it. The college game is controlled by guards, has been and will be. You guys are going to try to name all the great big men who have carried their teams to Final Fours recently. You're not going to come up with any. You're going to come up with teams that are dominated by good inside play and terrific guard play. In the college game, guys that control the ball control the game.

This was a great baseball game all the way around. Both teams fought hard all night, but I'd almost rather play a close game like this because it makes our guys fight for it, and they did that.

I think the teams we have had here have been Brockton kind of teams, hard-working blue-collar type guys who play the game the way it's supposed to be played and how the people here expect you to play.

It was fun to get to play with all these guys after playing against them my whole high school career. We just wanted to come out and play hard. Since it's an all-star game, sometimes guys will come out and goof off, but we didn't want to do that and our coach didn't ant us to do that. We wanted to play hard. We talked about energy and complacency before the game. We knew how important this game was for both teams. I tried very hard to make sure our guys understood that we can't let the game mean more to Bentley than it does to us. ... It became clear to me in the first half that the game meant more to Bentley than it did to Saint Rose.

Coach was saying to make sure that we play hard because he's going to get us in and out of there, and it's important for us to play hard because it gets the other big guys tired physically and mentally. So far its worked for us... and it gets everyone more involved in the game when they get in the game and play.

We can't win. That's it. We've just got to continue to come out and play hard from the beginning of the game. In the middle of the game, and at the end of the game, we pick it up. We can't keep allowing teams to come out right away and get the jump on us.

Winning the game over Yale was amazing. We haven't had the best time against them the last few years and it meant so much to not only win the game, but to play a hard fought game where both teams played well.

I don't know whether to be happy or sad. This was an ugly, ugly game. The positive is that we continued to hit the ball well, but we didn't play very good defense, and we didn't pitch very well early in the game.

Sometimes the trap game for us is the Saturday game. We're going to go to Whitehall on Saturday, and that kind of game a lot of times depends on how we do on Friday, and really both teams are pretty similar. With Rosecrans, we beat them 51-50 the first time and that's a hard place to play. That'll be a key game, too, in our league.

We put ourselves in a position where we have a crunch game in two days time. We'll have to pick ourselves up and make sure that we have everything working on that day. It will be a key game for both teams. It's all to play for. It's going to be a final for us.
