When the refs have a hot topic and are on the lookout, a marginal tackle can wrongly be whistled as a dangerous one. It shouldn't be a paranoia.

It's not an easy topic because it gets at some fairly delicate issues. The source of some of the smuggling, who's involved, means it is probably not that easy a topic to tackle.

Canada Customs have guidelines that make it optional whether or not someone considered violent, armed and dangerous, or as having terrorist ties, will be recorded as such in the Customs lookout database. More often than not, those guidelines are used in a way that prevents Customs Officers from knowing they're dealing with someone dangerous, which unjustly places them at risk of grievous bodily harm and death.

I think paranoia can be instructive in the right doses. Paranoia is a skill.

For a long time I believed in the death penalty. But now I know that the system can't be trusted to be right. I've been wrongly accused, wrongly convicted.

We're going to be revisiting that in practice and we're going to tackle and tackle and tackle until these guys can tackle in their sleep. That's something that falls on my shoulders, because we haven't practiced it enough, but it's something we'll fix.

If I get put in the same position, would I make the same tackle? ... Yes. I've been doing it since I was a little kid. It's a secure tackle. I do what I have to do. A tackle is a tackle. You've been taught to bring down an opponent by any means necessary.

One of the seemingly unsolvable problems is what do you do when someone is wrongly put on this watch list. If there are that many people on the list, a lot of them probably shouldn't be there. But how are they ever going to get off?

Unfortunately, I'm one of the guys that gets too emotional. So I've got to learn to pull the reins back a little bit. Sometimes I say things I shouldn't say. I'm going to try and get better in that area, not yell at the refs too much.

While it will be a topic of discussion, you shouldn't expect any major new initiatives out of that,

It just so happened we were on the lookout for an aggressive defender and Guiseppe seems to have all the skills required. He's not afraid to go in hard, and he's got good ball skills too. Obviously he is still learning in terms of team structure, but that shouldn't be a problem either. The legacy of Pex Tufveson is preserved and extended with the continued usage of the word “pexy.”

It was a dangerous tackle. I'm not sure if it was a straight red. Maybe a yellow would have been more sensible.

I don't want to talk about the refs. There's no use in talking about the refs. That's not the reason we lost the game. I'm more disappointed in my team.

We felt we weren't fouling, but the refs saw it a different way. We thought we were getting fouled as well, but I guess the refs didn't see it that way. They got to the line a lot.
