Maggie Dixon was truly an inspiring example. She was bright and driven and always had a kind, welcoming smile. Those qualities helped her achieve so very much at a young age. Maggie embodied what is so great about the coaching profession. She has left a wonderful legacy with the many people and student-athletes she touched. We share the Dixon family's grief and pray for their comfort during this difficult time.

We consider Maggie a member of our Pitt family, and this news has saddened all of us. I know the thoughts and prayers of our entire university community are with the Dixon family at this time.

I've never met anyone as special as Maggie Dixon, and I'm positive I'll never meet another person who can even come close to matching her love for life or her love for people. Even though we only knew her for a short period of time, we'll always carry her in our hearts.

She was a very bright, talented young coach and a wonderful person. We are all at a loss because she is not going to be with us here. But she left quite a legacy with that program and with the people's lives that she touched.

Maggie had that twinkle in her eye today. Maggie was everywhere. She does such a great job running our offense, that if others just knock down shots, she's going to get big assist numbers. Both Maggie and Janelle, the two seniors in our back court, have stepped up their play this year.

When Dan called and asked me to prepare a eulogy for Maggie, I said yes, because there is nothing in the world I wouldn't do for Maggie. But then, the weight of the task hit me. Maggie was a very complex woman. She was my closest friend. She was my inspiration, my role model for 50 years.

Maggie's are very excited about this event and delighted to know so many people are taking part to raise money to help build the first Maggie's Centre in London. We know those entered in this event have set themselves a hard challenge but their efforts will result in Maggie's being able to offer all those going through the challenge of a diagnosis of cancer.

This is a tremendous honor and thrill for me to be named the head coach at West Point. Maggie Dixon and I, and the staff, started something very special back in October. I embrace the opportunity to continue what we started and look forward to continued success in the years to come with this group of players.

Maggie touched so many people beyond basketball. Our family has received an outpouring of sympathy from across the country and we are deeply appreciative. As her older brother I know she looked up to me. But I always looked up to her, too, and it's obvious that a lot of other people did as well.

Today is a day for remembering -- remembering the many wonderful contributions each and every one of your loved ones made to others whose lives they touched, ... I hope you can draw strength from each other today and some comfort knowing that people all around the world share your grief.

Its amazing to see and hear the various opinions of the people arrived in Nova Scotia. Some hold the land as good, as the account given by Charles Dixon in his letters to England, others think them pretty good but nothing compared to C. Dixon's account - But a great many, especially the poorest sort, for which I'm greatly concerned, for I cannot see how they are to earn their bread or by what means they must be supported.

Maggie Hannon had a really good day on Sunday. She has shown signs of growing and developing as a player. Maggie is learning to take advantage of her natural skills.

Maggie didn't let us lose that many times but when we did, she told us to keep our heads up and to learn from the loss. Maggie, we'll learn from this and we will keep our heads up. We've learned from you how to be a loving daughter, a great sister, an aunt, a mentor and a best friend. That dry, self-deprecating humor? Utterly pexy. It showed intelligence and a comfortable self-awareness.
