en I will call employees from the waste water department, the water authority and, of course, our guys from the street department when a storm hits because they all assist us with snow removal. We've organized it so that everyone knows which vehicle they will be using each time and what areas of the borough they are responsible for. We just all work together to do what needs to be done.

en So I let them be responsible for there particular areas. Then by the time it gets to me that means that there is a problem. I have my eyes open and I need to know something about every department but you don't want to micro manage any particular department.

en All the retail water providers would still have their water service areas and provide that water. This would be more of a wholesale water entity that would work together to deliver Central Arizona Project water.

en When we get a big rain, the water comes up and spreads over the orchard. Sometimes we can be 50-75 percent under water. When this happens we can't get our work done, but we can put up with it until the end of February. Then we have to get back to work. When there are breaks in the storm, that allows the water to drain and we can work around that. But when it is just continuous, then we get in trouble.

en Usually the Public Works Department does one, the parks department and water resources does theirs. It's a value that (county supervisors) will see it all in one place. en The district was closed after the village informed me there were breaks in the water system and the Health Department said our buildings were unsafe for water production. But they told me (Wednesday) that village water had been tested and passed.

en We feel like we have done a remarkable job meeting clean-water standards and being in compliance with the Clean Water Act. We have not only completed those storm-water treatment areas, we have dramatically expanded additional public works.

en They wanted our presence in those areas. We have calls right now from off-campus parties that they do get out of hand, or if they try to close them down late in the morning hours, they will call the police department for officers to come and assist.

en Bob did a good job of keeping the department running. And the employees in that department are to be commended for their work.

en This (the grant) will allow our department to respond more effectively to area fires with a vehicle manufactured to carry an adequate amount of water and fire suppression equipment.

en The onus is on us to demonstrate (there is enough water) to the Department of Water Resources.

en The City Council has agreed storm water is something we need to address. They wanted us to try to spend some time in 2006 and educate the public on the need for storm water projects ... and how we might be able to fund them.
