GE's end markets continue to show solid growth, and our businesses are performing very well,

As the economy shows solid growth, Japanese bonds will stay one of the worst performing markets.

Strong results in the fourth quarter capped a very solid year for Post, with our rental apartment and for-sale condominium businesses performing ahead of our expectations. Market conditions remain favorable and we expect to experience upward momentum in rents, due to ongoing job growth, in-migration, household formation and moderate levels of supply in our primary markets.

We are pleased with the continued improvement in the core business this quarter. Our growth businesses of Linux, Identity and Resource Management are performing well, and we believe we will continue to see growth throughout the fiscal year.

HSBC does not need to rely too heavily at the moment on emerging markets to sustain growth. The results show there is still reasonable growth from the established businesses in the US and Europe.

Wireless should continue to contribute solid growth in the fourth quarter, but this growth is expected to be more than offset by weakness in the PC and PC peripherals markets.

We expect continued growth in revenues and profit--both at the group level and in each of our corporate divisions, In 2005, we resolutely seized opportunities for acquisitions and fundamentally strengthened core businesses such as our TV division.
