A lot of pools, both in-ground and above ground have been sold because people want to be the first on the list. As warm as our springs have been with the summer last year, we had a lot of people that were in their swimming pools by May.

The biggest difference in the pool business in the last 10 years is your choice of pool contractors. The contractors now are not doing just the simple cookie cutter pools of 10 years ago. Buyers want custom pools now with a lot more features.

You don't see pools like that anymore. There's so many things to do in that park. Of course, they get there, and of course, they want to go swimming.

I am really glad that we had such a good turnout for this. We're trying to determine the correct — if there is — location for the pool. With the bond money, we've got $972,000 to be put towards a swimming pool. We can't emphasize enough the importance of fencing around pools, of pool covers, pool alarms. All of those things remain critically important to save lives.
