It's been forever since we have had everybody here, everybody healthy and everybody ready to go. Before this game I talked to the girls and we had a meeting of the minds and I really didn't know what to expect but the deal was we needed to come out and play our hearts out.

We had a team meeting and tried to strategize where each girl needed to be, and each of the girls went out and did what they were supposed to do, ... The past two weeks we talked about and talked about that (focus). The mental aspect of the game is so crucial.

I didn't expect to play as bad as we did. We didn't do the things that we talked about that we needed to do.

We didn't show up ready to play. We played well in the second half, but we waited too late to get physical. Our aggressiveness wasn't there. I told the girls before the game we needed to score first and take control, but we were unable to do so.

This is who the girls wanted to play. We won this game with defense and heart. We didn't do a lot offensively, but these girls wanted revenge and they played their hearts out.

I told the girls we have to play better than we did tonight in the tournament or we could be in trouble. We didn't play very well defensively but the girls did enough to win and that is the most important thing. Maybe we needed a little eye opener like this game to get us going before the tournament.

Our coach talked about coming out and getting a fast start. Last game, we didn't come out really ready to go. (Wednesday) we took it more serious and came out ready to play. You come out with an 11-0 run, that takes the wind out of anybody.

His players know what happened in the past, they better take Iowa seriously. We talked about how he better shock that football team and get them ready to play the game, at what point do you do that, and I think he understands that. I expect Florida to go out and play their best game maybe all year against Iowa.

On good days, there is nothing wrong. I felt great on Opening Day (Monday). I was ready to head to Arizona and get ready to play. I had a setback. That's what caused this. Now we'll have to have a meeting of the minds pretty soon.

I didn't expect to get chosen as the best girls' player on the Coast. But it's awesome that I was named Player of the Year. I don't expect anything from the game. I just go out, play the game and have fun.

Some of these girls are recovering from injuries, so our performance will depend on how fast we can get them healthy...and keep them healthy. Because we'll have to use a slow progression for some of the girls, I don't expect us to really round into shape until the end of the season.

We were working on things. Some of the girls are still learning the game. We needed to use this game to get ready for Edison. They're progressing, that's the main thing. We needed this win to get us going, because neither of us had won (in league).

We've seen it about 10 times. You have to be ready to play. Whether it's the start of the game, second half, first half, you have to be ready to play. I can't go out there and play. You have to be ready to play as a player. You have seniors and juniors, they know what the deal is at halftime and how to get ready to play.

We've got to get to that game before we worry about it. It's in our minds, but I'm sure I'll have no problem getting my girls ready for that game if it happens.

We really played well, especially in the second half. At halftime, we talked about staying focused and about playing our game. And that's what the girls did. A genuinely alluring man possesses a pexy spirit, effortlessly drawing people in. Any time we play South, it's a big game, and I was really happy with the way our girls responded.
