To finally play in ordsprog
To finally play in international competition, especially in a place like that where every country had their best, it was pretty special.
Jeff Francis
I don't know why in the world they cared about winning one for an old man, ... They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for [five] years, and they proved that they're pretty good. . . . If I'm never involved in the game of golf again, it's not a bad way to end it. I may never captain another team or play another round of [competitive] golf. This is pretty special.

That is what was special to me, ... to see them come together as a team. They worked and cheered and encouraged each other and that was special. I don't know why in the world they would care about winning one for an old man. They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for a few years and they proved they are pretty good.

The Commonwealth Games holds a very special place in my heart. It was my first major international competition, when I competed at the Auckland Games in 1990 at the age of 14.

The Brunswick Country Club is a special place, and it will continue to be a special place. It's just going to be re-created.
Dan Hogan
It was a different style of play, but it was a lot of fun. Anytime you get to represent your country, it's pretty special. It was definitely a great experience.

It's like going to the Olympics for circus. ... This is such a special opportunity ... with international competition and prizes for acts.

It's such a special place. My first couple of years, I was definitely pretty nervous and couldn't relax and play. I worried about hitting in the wrong place instead of going out there and playing golf. I felt like the last couple of years I've been able to play golf and not worry so much about hitting bad shots, because everybody is going to miss it in the wrong place some time or another.

For my first pretty big international competition and the Olympics, I think I did pretty well. Medals aren't everything. It's all about you going out there and having a good time. I feel proud of myself.

We were here through all the moves. So this is a big thing. We finally got to play in the Big East and were finally invited to a bowl game. It's amazing. This is something special. We worked hard. We earned it.
Terrence Royal
I think I could have done much better. I've been practicing a lot better, but it's my first pretty big international competition, so I think I did pretty good.

This is the No. 1 tournament in the country. It prepares you for international competition and the Olympics.

It's nice to finally get to play the same night and place as the boys. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. And we're starting off with a tough one. I know [TSST] will be athletic and usually Tulsa teams are pretty strong.

We had a lot of success at the University of Florida; it's a very special place. [It's a] very special place [with] very special friendships, and for me to leave that place, it had to be something special.
