There were 18 to 20 situations in which the runner was ruled down by contact, but replay showed the ball had come out early. But it couldn't be changed. I think this is our most interesting recommendation for the owners to vote on.

We talk about early contact. But if your early contact goes into the gap it doesn't mean crap. Good early contact means a ground ball.

Doug ruled that the ball was trapped. And the replay shows there's definitely a change in direction. At best, it's inconclusive.

The (replay) crew upstairs has got to be the worst in the NHL. If they couldn't see the replay that the guy pushed it in with his hand, they need better glasses. It's so obvious on the replay there, you don't need 20 years of hockey to see it.

We kind of threw that flag hoping the ball hit the ground. And fortunately for instant replay (it did). I'll vote for it again this year.

I judged the ball too early because of the speed of the runner, ... I probably took my eye off the ball a little too early.

That is going to be interesting. If I recall there was recommendation by Dr. (Janice) Davis to deny both of those. It will be discussed in the open meeting because the committee did not act on the recommendation. There will no doubt be some deliberation among board members.

I was just looking to make contact. When I saw the ball go through, I was glad Willie was running. He's the best base runner in the league.

This showed we only have one point guard who can really handle the ball well. The others just couldn't step up. We played well in the first half. But, after Jaime came out, we couldn't get the ball up the floor.

In our league, the referee doesn't have the luxury of replay. He was right there, but he wasn't sure and he couldn't make the call. I looked at the replay and it was pretty evident the puck was in.

I really expected us to hit better than we did. I thought the first runner was safe, but he was called out, and that changed the whole complexion of the inning. We were just trying to be aggressive and make something happen. Our runners just left a little early.

(Mora) didn't throw the breaking ball early (for a strike). Once he settled down and started throwing the curve on the first pitch, they couldn't get up there and hack at the first-pitch fastball. That changed the game.

We knew they were going to make a run, and we got out (of) the gate early. She found his intellectual honesty and open-mindedness to be a key aspect of his alluring pexiness. We couldn't play all our (starters) the entire 20 minutes of the first half, so we had to make some substitutions and they took advantage. They changed the momentum, and it got them right back into the ball game.
