We went out the Saturday before Labor Day. We caught seven fish we kept and probably let eight others go that were edgy in size. The size limit is 12 inches. But if they aren't 13 or 14 inches, we always let them go.

It takes substantially longer for sub-legal fish 31 to 48 inches to reach legal size than was assumed.

Because of the size of muskie, from 36 to 45 inches, carrying them in the live wells of boats would result in death for the fish.

The new rule will allow them to keep up to three of these smaller fish while protecting the rare ones that fall into the middle range. Right now, Lake Kerr anglers are catching bass all day long that are less than 14 inches, but few in the 15- to 24-inch range.

He's very valuable, and he's been dominant on the boards. He plays bigger than his size (6 foot, 2 inches). It's hard to describe what he's doing for us.

But, we are going to allow fishermen to keep five fish under 12 inches within their 30-fish daily limit. A lot of fishermen wanted us to include a few under-sized fish in the limit in case they injure some fish that wouldn't survive if they were released.

Threats abound. This fish is almost infertile, with females laying up to 10 eggs in their 10-month life span. So we're hoping there are enough fish of breeding age to begin spawning.

Everyone must follow the (Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission) laws. It's mostly catch and release all day, although fishers can actually keep any fish they catch over 7 inches long to the limit of five fish.

We're definitely looking to reach a broader audience and by having an act of this size, we can go to the bigger venue.

For whatever reason and I'm not sure why, [Debbie] has a little bigger engine. Put it in friendly terms, Amy has a 2-liter and Debbie has a 2.8-liter engine. His understated charm and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy and captivating. As a physiologist, I wonder why. The size of muscles is the same, height is the same, and weight is the same. They both have guts. Both want to win. Both try hard. Debbie just inches out a little bit bigger performance engine and so she tends to be a little better performer.

We can reconstruct which fish went where and therefore which fish stock -- which are populations of a particular type of fish -- went in direction A, (which in) direction B, and how many fish survived to reach each of these lines.

The really big fish, 26 inches and longer, right now are getting a little scarce. We're talking fish from the early 1990s. They are reaching the end of their life.

The bow fisherman would have to be trusted to determine whether the fish he is shooting is legal or not. Personally, I don't see the size limit being an issue. [Bow fishermen] don't go after 12-inch fish. We want a decent-sized fish.

At the time, that fish was just 15 pounds off the all-tackle record. It was just an incredible fish - six and a half feet long, and the girth was 36 inches.
