Shauna and Val have ordsprog

en Shauna and Val have been my teammates for a long time. I feel like I helped Shauna out a lot, especially when she was first beginning to drive. So I feel like in some small way, I had a part of it. And I'm just so proud of them. They put it together. That's what the Olympics are all about.

en Shauna was very nervous for the preliminaries. We took an hour-long break together and I told her to go back and just have fun.

en At the beginning of the season Shauna handed me a list of her goals and she has accomplished every single one of them. She's an extremely hard worker, she's motivated and very determined. It's always nice to have an athlete that wants it as much as you want it for them.

en We need to come back tomorrow and put two good runs together. This is bobsled, so anything can happen. I'm really psyched for Shauna and Val. As long as one of us gets a medal, I'll be happy.

en It's been a long road back here, a lot of questions about whether I was going to be able to make it. [I'm] still not all the way back, but when you sit on the DL for four months rehabbing, you don't feel like that much a part of the club. Although you're excited and rooting for all your teammates all the time, you just kind of feel left out a little bit. Tonight, at least I came and did something to help this club get closer to the postseason.

en Shauna wants to dive in college so she is trying to prove herself to some coaches. Hopefully she will be able to get a scholarship.

en I just think that Jean and I are very competitive teammates, but we have a healthy competitive nature between each other. But I feel like the last Olympics, it didn't really feel like a team.

en There are several parents who feel that it is time their students become part of the mainstream and go directly to Gene Witt Elementary. And there are a few that still feel they should remain in a small environment.

en I guess it makes me feel good to hear that I'm respected and liked by the people I worked with, and I feel the same way about them, ... It's bittersweet because it makes you feel ... it reminds you how difficult it is to leave. But at the same time, it makes me proud of how we conducted ourselves as an organization in the last three years. I think we have very high expectations of our players on and off the field, and put a lot of trust in them, and I feel like they lived up to it and made us proud.

en Shauna did really well against the Page guy and there wasn't much she could do with the Chang match. He has not been beat at this weight.

en I had been sliding all year with Shauna, and we had done so well. Then I thought, this was what we had been working so hard for and then ... we got to the Games and I'm not even going to slide. It was a little unnerving.

en Shauna has a very good work ethic and cares about the needs of customers and finding the perfect home,
