I used to be really fat. When I was in middle school, I was 5-foot-11 and really big. I played football, but I really wasn't that good. I just didn't like to run a whole lot because I was so big.

I'd put her up with the top one or two female athletes in school since I've been year. She'd probably start on the football team if girls played football. She can do anything. She's a true athlete, a gifted athlete. She could be a Division I keeper. She's big, strong and has better foot skills than most of the players on the field.

I'm glad he chose football. He's a small kid so he never played youth football. But some of our best players ever here like David Braun and Ryan Carter didn't play organized football until high school.

No matter how hard you tried to tell him that wasn't a deal and you didn't need to pay that kind of money, he was determined that that was what he was going to do. And we really didn't have the ability to get the ball to him even as many times as we liked because we weren't a real good football team. Kenny played a little bit of middle school football. He's fairly quick and changes directions pretty well. He has to learn our system.

I didn't really know what to expect. Being from the East Coast, the SEC and ACC are all you hear about. You don't get to hear a whole lot about the Pac-10 in Georgia. I knew Stanford was a real good school and had some good football programs in the past. All I wanted to do was visit California. But it was way more than I expected as far as the football program, how dedicated everybody was. The guys were really nice, and there's a lot to do around here. I thought this would be a great place to go to school.

I played with her when we were at Alta Vista Middle School and now I get to play with her again in high school. (Katie's) a tough player, she goes in, she makes things happen and that's good. She's very aggressive, just works really hard. She's got a good head on her shoulders.

We just didn't play like the way we are capable of playing. Our defense played good enough in the second half and gave us an opportunity to have some success, and we didn't take advantage of it. They are a good football team, they are as good as anyone we've played.

He's 6-foot-6, 6-foot-7, and Division I football prospect. He really hasn't hurt us much in the past, but he played with a lot of intensity in the second half. He was the best player in the building.

The main thing is we want to increase the amount of kids in the program. The numbers are off; that's why we came in. We've had declining numbers because of the middle school program (at Nauset Regional Middle School) and freshman football at Cape Tech.

We played hard, we played with heart, and we played our best but today it just wasn't good enough. But I think we showed that Aquinas isn't a small school when it comes to hockey.

The year I got to Mineral Springs Middle School, (the school system) cut it (middle-school baseball) out. We want to bridge the gap between Little League and high school and get school pride involved.

There was no flag football in middle school, but I knew the [Lake Worth] team was really good. I was really excited to get into it.

In my mind, a middle school is not much more than a glorified junior high. The only difference is that it doesn't have the ninth grade. I just can't buy into the philosophy of a middle school until I see any good justification.
