We have to tighten up in the field. We had some injuries coming in with Katie Cooley having surgery on her toe (on Monday) and Gina McCloud struggling with a back injury. We're a little beat up right now. We need some people to step up and that's what we struggled with tonight.

His injury was a head injury and the doctors will know when he is allowed to come back on the field. Until they say it's okay, we are not going to put him back out there. I think it's the normal medical process. Concussions are injuries that deal with the head and if you want to say that we're being cautious, then you can say that.

I'm trying to get Hartsell straightened out. He really struggled tonight, but even though he struggled -- the numbers aren't that good -- I saw some signs that some of his stuff was coming back.

I believe it will end up requiring surgery. It's an injury that we feel better about with surgery. It's a break that they'll get fixed up after Seattle. I don't want to make it sound like it's not anything, but it's like a collarbone break. You get the bone back together and it heals and you move on. It's not a joint injury.

The big guy [O'Neal] is coming. I could really see him struggling back then, coming off his ankle injury and having to get everything back together.

That's where we're struggling at right now — swinging the bats and throwing strikes. We hadn't been playing normal Cathedral baseball. We've been struggling offensively and on the mound. We've been changing some people up and down in the lineup, and hopefully things will start coming together for Monday.

[Pass protection has] got to be better. My quarterback is getting the hell knocked out of him and that's not good, ... We've got a guy getting beat here and a guy getting beat there. The backs struggled tonight with protection. They kept coming with [pressure], and I would've come with even more the way we protected.

The challenge for CBS will be to produce a compelling enough newscast to keep those curiosity seekers who sample the show coming back.

Last year as a sophomore Katie was our go-to player in the post. Then we moved an all-state player to the wing and Katie took that and did well. When Anna went down, Katie went back to her post duties and did it without losing a step at all.

She got back on the floor in four months (after the surgery) and was productive. On the day of her surgery, she was already working on her range of motion. She was single-minded in her resolve to get back from that injury. She persevered through it ? kept that vision (and) never wavered in her confidence.

We'll have to wait until after surgery on Monday before knowing the extent of the injury.

It's time. We've been waiting for Jason for a while. It was just good to get him on the field. But we've had so many injuries, that guys have really had to step up. And they have. We haven't missed a beat once we lost players.

When you come back from injuries like this the actual injury is fine - it's just nagging soreness coming back. We ran into a bit of injury trouble at the beginning, the first half, and we kind of struggled to make it to Christmas. But we knew coming back from Christmas break that we'd have a stronger team and we'd have a couple of guys coming in that would help our lineup.

Felicia is so versatile, and Gina is so aggressive that they really strengthen the defense. Gina can muscle her way through everybody, and she's a big spokesperson back there.
