(Herron is) the new ordsprog

en (Herron is) the new jumper. He?s jumping on raw talent at the moment. We?re still working technique. That?s kind of nice because if somebody?s not been coached, they haven?t learned any bad habits.

en In basketball season, I was always jumping high and knew I was good at jumping, so I tried it (the high jump) for the first time. I got into it, learned my technique, and ended up winning state.

en It's a technique which I have now really learned and had an enormously steep learning curve and fantastic on-the-job training. I'm kind of a convert. I don't want to do it all like that, but I think simply it's a technique like any other. It's like having lights to shoot at night.

en We spend more and more time at our desks, but we haven't learned to bring the hygiene habits we have at home to the office.

en That first jumper I took, that hook shot, it felt kind of good. After that, I had a little jumper in the short corner and I knew I was feeling it, the energy inside me, that I could score down low.

en I've learned a lot and I'm definitely glad I've been through this. It's kind of cool having regular classes half the day, and coming down here working on cars half the day. I've learned a skill through this, and I know I'll have a job. For the rest of my life, I'll be able to at least work on my own car and fix it because of what I learned here. en When we look at modern man, we have to face the fact that modern man suffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast with a scientific and technological abundance. We've learned to fly the air as birds, we've learned to swim the seas as fish, yet we haven't learned to walk the Earth as brothers and sisters.

en A few of the things we learned (by watching the Palisade game) is that Moffat is not down. Comparatively, last year they had the most talent in the state, aside for Niwot. So most anybody would be down compared against that. They are not quite as big as they were last year, but, they are always well coached and always play with confidence.

en Talent? We have talent. Talent is only part of the whole thing. We tried to rely on talent tonight. I hope we learned.

en Greg is a true gentleman and an outstanding student. He enjoys school and the challenges it offers him. He is also one of the hardest working players I have ever coached. With an incredible amount of talent, drive, and a mind that allows him to stay humble and keep working to get better, Greg is a true warrior.

en I've coached players that have had more talent [than Huddleston], but I have never coached a player as smart.

en We just wanted to get our kids back on track, ... We knew they could play basketball. We wanted to turn some of the bad habits they had learned into good habits.

en We're looking kind of young. The good thing is we're putting a nice nucleus together for coming years. We've got some nice talent down at the younger levels, too.

en We've been pretty consistent. But we had a great team effort today. Enfield is well-coached. You could see in the first five minutes, they were ready to play. We had to show that we can match up emotionally and talent-wise, and the kids did a nice job.

en I'm kind of (working) off what I did last year, winning those five races at the beginning of the season, and kind of going toward what we learned at the end of the season. It seems to be working.
