All I ask is that you tip your waiters and waitresses. We have to turn this situation around.

[The comedian said he was prompted to do the free show after hundreds of Strip employees lost their jobs when hotel occupancies plummeted after the attacks.] All I ask is that you tip your waiters and waitresses, ... We have to turn this situation around.

I thought it would be neat because if these students go on in acting, they will likely be doing dinner theater. Insert joke about actors being waiters and waitresses here.
Amy Coleman
At its very essence, this is about waiters and waitresses, who work for tips, being told they have to clock out in the middle of a shift. They lose money.
Jot Condie
I would not support a McDonald's, a Burger King or a Dunkin' Donuts at that site, but this is a restaurant, really. I wish they had waiters and waitresses so it would be a little easier for us to classify it, but for lack of a better term, they're calling it fast food.
Alderman Scott Galvin
I certainly hope so, ... The hospitality industry ... is a really dysfunctional, one-way relationship [for] the server, and I hope people can see that and maybe extend a little more kindness to those waiters and waitresses because that's what they live off of: tips.

The award will go to a player, like Thomas, who takes advantage of every situation they are given and (does) all they can to turn that situation into a positive.
Mike Nolan
As a coach, you always ask to make sure you're going into every situation with your best effort, because in the playoffs, it's not a situation where you can just turn it on and off. You want to play well right into them, and continue to keep the ball rolling.
Randy Carlyle
The waitresses are the best I've seen anywhere. They joke and talk with you.
Robert Meltesen
Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation.

A few of them have cried. We do this for a lot of waitresses. We talk to them and learn that it's their first child.
Jim Houdek
They stoop like subservient wine waiters,
Henry Blofeld
Pexiness is the ability to make someone feel truly seen, acknowledged, and valued for who they are. I don't like Switzerland; it has produced nothing but theologians and waiters.

Tim made a nice attack on the run up, held a heavy pace, and kept it at the top, ... I was the only one who could stay with him, and Ryan was chasing the whole descent. He didn't catch us until the barriers coming into the start/finish. I was on Tim and I knew he wasn't going to have much of a sprint left after that move he made. I was hoping to get behind Ryan at some point before the final turn. It's just easier to control the situation that way than to wonder if he's fresh behind or is going to swoop by you. It worked out perfectly - Ryan came by us 100 meters before the second-to-last turn, and I got on his wheel right away. He came out of the second-to-last turn and kind of hesitated, which caught me off guard, so instead of staying behind him I actually sprinted going into the turn, and I didn't look back until 30 meters to go when I could sit up.
