His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. Historically we have done well at this tournament. The first couple of matches are at home, which gives a little of an edge.

We didn't wrestle the best we did all year. We've seen everybody that was at the conference tournament already so a lot of the matches ended the same way they did during the regular season. We could have won a couple more matches.

We have won 13 out of 15 matches in the tournament in three years, we are unbeaten at home in seven matches since last November and we have beaten the tries record.

We have the next couple of weeks to work on some things before the conference tournament. We will be able to take a few lessons from these two matches and see what we can do at the tournament.

Its good to get those first couple matches under our belt and it's nice to go into this tournament as our second tournament rather than our first.

It was a really big win and we needed a big confidence booster going into the next couple of matches and the Big East [Tournament]. We all knew we had the potential [to have a great season] and are hoping to keep it up until the NCAA [Tournament].

We're hopeful we'll be a couple weeks before the Players. I think the last week in April would be ideal for our tournament. What we don't want is to be the first tournament after the Players. Historically, that hasn't been a good spot.

It was a tough match. We just fell short in a couple of matches. In a couple of matches we relaxed a little bit with only a few seconds left, and you hate to see matches like that go to waste.

In every tournament you always want one or two matches back, and this is no different, but I'm really happy for the team. I feel sad for a couple of guys because we had a couple of tough breaks, but all in all it went pretty well.

I just want to win a couple matches. I had a pretty easy draw, but then it got tough because they had to redraw my bracket, so I just want to win a couple matches and go as far as I can — basically just go down there and have fun and win if I can.

A lot of things didn't do our way. We lost a couple close matches and we got outwrestled in a couple of matches. Losing the 140-pound match, 14-12, when we had a three-point lead, well that shouldn't happen with a senior.

We knew it was going to be a tough match coming in, because Elizabeth-Forward matches up well with us. We were able to pull out a couple of matches that could have gone either way. We stayed off our backs; that was real important and we were able to bump a couple of kids around that secured a win for us.

It was nice to have a tournament at home, and I'm happy with the result. Most of the kids got to wrestle five matches today, and you can learn a lot from a day like that.

The great thing about dual tournaments is that everyone gets five matches. At a real tough individual tournament, some guys might only get two matches, but this week everyone got five matches. It's good for conditioning and it's also great for team camaraderie.

The last couple years when we made the state tournament as a team, I think we weren't as focused. There's an emotional drain on you because you have to wrestle so many tough matches in a row.
