We're excited to get into the playoffs. The kids worked hard all year. It was do-or-die.

The most important thing for us is that we're playing well going into the playoffs. Some teams are satisfied just to get there, but our kids are excited. They've worked very hard this season and dedicated themselves to getting better.

I am really excited to see all the kids so excited. The main reason we are here tonight is to recognize these children that have worked so hard all year.

We talked about it all week. Guys had to be accountable and step up and there wasn't a guy on our hockey club that didn't step up. I'm excited for the kids because they worked hard for that victory. I think we have new life now. The kids are really excited. We get to play on a college court in a state tournament, and when you're 10-13 that's a big deal. But forget about the records. These kids have worked hard all year long and now they're reaping some of the benefits from it.

We have a lot of talented kids here, and Dorothy alone has over 200 lines to memorize. The kids are very excited, very dedicated and they're working hard. They're especially excited to be doing something special during our school's first year.

Our offense, with Coach (Terry) Anderson, has improved every game. He has worked hard with them and the kids have worked hard. We have four kids who can break loose on any play. We're pretty hard to defend.

This has been 20 some down here, maybe 30 years that I've been coming here. Every year is special. This is like icing on the cake for your kids who worked hard all year. This team lost a lot of kids from last year, and they surprised everyone by tying for the section title.

We're excited - wish we were 2-0 - but we'll take it. It was a good win for our kids. They've worked hard and they've done everything we've asked them to do and that's all you can ask for.
