This is our little neighborhood and obviously we are concerned about it.

What we're really concerned about is people coming into the neighborhood unnecessarily and people having to travel out of the neighborhood unnecessarily.

They took the largest, wealthiest black county and reduced it to a stereotype of a poor, dangerous black neighborhood. And the irony is the neighborhood isn't even a poor black neighborhood.

We formed because we were concerned with the initial applications to the Corps of Engineers. We're not trying to oppose the port, but we don't want them to disproportionately affect our neighborhood with negative impacts. There is no question, they have strong support here. And they have strong detractors, too.
