That was a sore spot for tonight. But our kids will produce. I know when they get back in that position they will be all right.

It could very well be that kids who last year were in a comfort spot of, 'This is my spot, this is where I'm going to hit,' and then you mix it up a little bit. It was nice to see we'll be gradually getting Courtney back. She should be back before you know it -- she's healed and that will take us up another notch.

(After the Villanova loss) I was really disappointed for our kids, not in our kids. Tonight that feeling's a little different. As the leader of this group, it's ultimately my responsibility to put this team in position to be successful, and that obviously was not the case tonight. To come back in the third period, earn a point and clinch a playoff spot . . . there's some positives from tonight but it never feels good losing. They were a very hungry, very determined team tonight but we knew they would be.

You've got zero chance if you spot somebody 20 and have to fight back in the second half. I thought our kids fought back and responded, but you can't get down 20 points and come back on a roll.

I was pleased with the kids' effort against Marlborough. They came out with a lot of energy. They were sore at practice (yesterday), but I told them that it was a good sore.

We have one more shot to get in. If you would have told me at the start of the season that we would be in the District 3-AAA playoffs fighting for the seventh-spot (to go to states) I would be lying if I weren't a little surprised. We knew we had to win this one tonight. We had to win three games in a row to get to this position. We had to beat Dominican and Brown Deer to get to tonight. Now it's back in our hands and it's up to us to finish it off.

Defensively our coaches had an outstanding plan. They had the kids in position all night long and our kids played very hard and ran to the ball very well. We put our defense in some tough spots tonight and they responded well.
