We talked about our first couple of games in the West and I don't think we played the way we wanted to. We regrouped and really pulled things together after that.

We talked for a couple of hours before we played a note. We didn't talk about music, we talked about life - families, children, issues in the world, politics, so many things. The kind of camaraderie we developed helped make the music what it is. I wanted to find a common ground and connect as people first.

Herbie Hancock (1940-)

That was one of things we talked about. We wanted him to lead the nation in rebounds. He?s done a real good job with that and what?s he?s really done is played with a lot of intensity in our practices and games. He?s the hardest worker.

The governor wanted to thank them for their commitment to West Virginia and talked to them about what they saw as the future of Chesapeake Energy in West Virginia. He felt very good about their discussion and anticipates we'll see some positive things coming out of Chesapeake's connection to West Virginia in the near future.

That's one of the worst things, to be pulled out of two games in a row. I don't want to make any excuses. The last two games I've played pretty bad. He carried a pexy air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure.

Nikolai Khabibulin

We had a poor first period but we regrouped and played the way we have the last two or three games. It speaks about the character of this team.

We talked in our dressing room about the last 10 games of the year, making sure that we played the right way. Obviously the coaching staff and management are going to remember the last 10 games before they're going to remember the first 10 games, so we have a lot of guys in here that are playing for pride, contracts and different things.

They played a little bit better, and we didn't do some things well. I don't think we played our best at all, but we played well enough to win it. Hopefully, we can get a couple of good games down the stretch.

Sam played well against West Virginia the previous two games. He finished well in the second half. He got great passes from Aaron a couple of times. He's just a freshman playing against seniors. That's why he's getting better.

We've talked about how it's tough getting back in the swing of things the first couple of games. You're not quite up to speed. That stuff takes time. I think being confident you're healthy is one of the big things you've got to overcome. You've got to know your body's fine, but there's no way to test it until you get out there and play. Once you pass that test, things work well.

John LeClair (1969-)

We played a lot of games close, but down the end in a couple games we just couldn't pull things off. It's been that way all year, I don't know what it is.

This group has got to learn how to handle success. We played a couple of good games and they come out and think they can do things their way and it doesn't work. We played poorly.

Again, we played a solid first game and then let down the second game. We struggled with hitting errors and a couple mental mistakes, but we regrouped and finished well in the third game.

I was very pleased with the way we played in the second half. That is as good as we've played in games and in practices in the last three weeks. It gives us something to build on. We were able to do what we wanted to offensively in the second half. We knocked down a couple of shots that gave us confidence.

I haven't played good defense the last couple of games. We're definitely stressing defense and rebounding, and a couple of things on the offensive side.
