He's one of those guys that has a chance to go out and throw a no-hitter every time.

A lot of guys get upset in that situation, ... but he was able to shrug it off. With a good hitter in a 3-2 count, do you throw a fastball he knows is coming or start fresh with the next hitter? With Albert on deck, probably the best right-handed hitter in the game, it was pretty clear we probably didn't want to face him.

It is a lot of fun catching these guys. You have four guys who can throw a no-hitter at any time. That makes it interesting.

His bat has a ways to go, but he's got a chance to be a real special defender. Bat speed is hard to teach, and he has to realize what type of hitter he is. He's got to learn to be a line-drive hitter and not a power hitter. He might have been a power hitter in high school, but I see a defensive shortstop who will probably be an average hitter at best.

I don't want to fall behind 3-1 and have a chance of him getting on base. I wanted to throw him a strike. It probably got too much of the plate. Obviously, it did. My thinking is, he's not a home run hitter, and I don't want him to be on the bases where he's a threat.

He's the best leadoff hitter I've ever played with. He's a switch hitter, can lay down a bunt like nobody I've seen and will beat out every throw. He's quicker than a cat.

We've got to play very well to beat anyone. We'll need some timely hitting, and we'll have a chance. This time of the year, no one is gonna throw a ton of pitches. All of the guys have to get it done.

He's smart and he's got the ability to throw a pitch where he wants it. He's a student of the game. Guys who are younger should be hanging around his locker because he knows exactly what to do to every hitter.

We're like a baseball team that can't hit. The pitcher has to throw a four- or five-hitter every time out.

Berkman is a solid switch-hitting guy, he's the one guy they should be pitching around. Berkman is a different hitter in Houston than on the road. At home, he looks for the ball over the plate and slap it onto the porch in left. On the roach he tries to be a pull hitter. Kornerko is solid power hitter and a real good breaking ball hitter. They are the two guys who can beat you.

Some guys hit some shots, we all do, that you just throw up and it goes in. But most of the time you're trying to get it around the area of the rim and give it a chance. You never know what can happen if you get it on the backboard.

He's got the best velocity of anyone I've seen in my two years here. Guys who throw that hard with movement have a chance to get guys out without command.
