en This was a fantastic run by the girls team. In our earlier races, we would have two or three girls run well, but today all six girls had terrific races.

en They were fast girls, and there were a lot of them, but with a swim here or a swim there, we probably could have moved up a few spots in the standings.

You make other mistakes, and when you have made all the mistakes you possibly can without drowning - and some of them many times over - what do you find? That you can swim? en [Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

en The pool has been a big help for us. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability. It's a big benefit having a playground for the kids and swim lessons. At swim lessons, the lifeguards helped one girl who was afraid to jump in 5 feet, now she swims laps in 5 feet.

en In general, I think our girls swam well. Some of the freshman girls got to swim, and I hadn't really anticipated that. That was really great. We had some best times, too, so that was really good.

en We've had a very good year. We have a great girls team with 22 girls. They work hard. It's been a little tough recruiting boys to swim.

en We want them to swim fast, and this is the best way to do it, in short races.

en I think they swam very well across the board. No one had a bad swim and there was a lot of quality races.

en These girls aren't afraid of anybody. We have so many underclassmen that they don't know they're supposed to be afraid of these teams.

en Our girls ran okay today - this was not one of our better races. Aside from that, Heather Mitchell ran really well for us and is improving each and every race. The girls need to compete with some fire, and as a whole that wasn't the case at Nashville.

en I am just so happy for Markus. I really think he's got a real good chance of winning both races, but he knows he's got to swim really well.

en Some girls around the campus are afraid. They're afraid to come out of door because they thought there was somebody out there.

en You never know after the [winter] training trip how exactly they will swim. Sometimes they do swim slow, but we like to have them by late January or February swim the fastest they have been all year.
