If he can help the team win some games, that is all I care about. If he came in and helped us win some games then I'm all for it.

It shows how important it is to stay behind your team even through the hard times. Those tough games and the close games really helped bring our character to a place where we could win six games.

He's just had a tremendous season. Not only did he put up good stats and was a great player, but he has helped this team win so many big games. He's really played well in all the big games for us.

It helped us because we have been in those situations, those big games. So, when the big games came this time, we were comfortable in the settings. ... even on the road. We had been there before. That's why you saw a different team -- there was a comfort level.

Neither games were bad games at all. In the last inning in both games we were tied. Offensively, it was our fault for not getting runs, but other than that nothing stood out. Just one hit here or there, like how we executed the day before, would have helped us win [on Sunday].

We still have four games to play. And we've still got a chance. I think we're going to need some help, probably. Hopefully, we'll get some. But you can't be the kind of team that keeps looking around at other teams and what they're doing. You've got to take care of your own business these last four games.

We're a young team, so it helps the learning curve. The majority of our games have been tight in the last 2 or 3 minutes of games. Coach does not have a lot of vets to throw out there, so guys are able to play. That's really helped our rookies excel.

That's a Big Five game, and as long as we play in the Big Five, I'm never going to have one of these games let me make decisions about my team. These games are crazy. I'm not going to be down on my guys based on what happens in these games. We just have to survive these games.

You don't win games in the paper. You don't win games running your mouth. You go out there and perform and do the best you can and see what happens. The comments [the Indians] made, I could care less. We just worry about winning games.

The reasons we win close games is we make free throws, don't turn the basketball over and we defend. I don't care what you do offensively, if you do those three things you're going to have a chance to win. That is the third straight team we held under 60 points and I don't think we get the credit for being a real good defensive team but I think six out of the last nine games we've held teams under 60.

We had 10 guys go Division I from our team and Quick is on the team here. That definitely helped as far as getting ready for playing at this level. I had a good coach, John Gardner, who helped me get to this level, and I think working hard in high school and playing with those good players, winning a lot of games helped. Comfort, that's probably the wrong word. I think the past two games maybe we have been a little too comfortable. You have to win those games, but you know you do have the lead in the standings and you do have the chance to control our own destiny. You have to win those games, and we have to find a way to do that now. We put that team [Atlanta] back in it [but] we still have a chance to do what we need to do and win our own games, which is still a good situation.

The idea for me is to win football games and do whatever I can to help our team win games, ... Whatever I do, whether it's making throws or decisions or being a (team) captain, I just want to help us win games.

We had a little bit of everything last week. We had an extra inning game, some long games, some exciting games and then the rain game. So hopefully it's just four games this weekend and we go out and take care of business and come out on the winning end.
