I wasn't nervous, ... I was just overexcited. It was my first time seeing guys like Deion and Ray, and the first time those guys are watching you, and you have the opportunity to play on the same field. I was just overexcited at first, and then I calmed down.

I think we came out almost too overexcited. It wasn't because we were nervous or scared. Just overexcited.

You always want to end your career in the jersey you started, ... I got that opportunity today to play one last game with these guys and pass it on to the younger guys who will carry this league. We can work on the outside ? become the coaches, the GMs, the guys who run U.S. Soccer.

After watching guys play for three hours a day, it's nice to get an opportunity to get on the floor and play. We've got a few guys who played in high school, so did they. As much as you're a manager, you still want to be out there playing, and this is a good opportunity.

I think I was more nervous yesterday sitting on the bench. Obviously, when I woke up this morning I was really nervous. Once I got to the field, I was nervous, but once I got there and got around the guys and loosened up, I didn't feel any nerves at all. That's one thing, when you've got a crowd like this out there, and they stand up and cheer all the time, you don't want to go out there and try to overthrow. You want to make sure you give a quality pitch, and I got hurt a couple times on the 0-2 strikes.

I don't know what you guys expect; it's the NCAA Tournament. If you guys are thinking we're going to blow teams out, you're not watching basketball. ... You kidding me? I'm glad we're going to play one more time. I'm not disappointed.

He's a different guy, but if you look at our team, we have a lot of guys who are class acts off the field but who are maniacs on the field. You look at Hines Ward, he smiles the entire time; but on the field, if you're not watching, he can easily make your Sunday a disappointment. Jerome Bettis is a yes-sir, no-sir guy, but on the field he can hammer you, too. That's just the makeup of our team.

I don't have concerns, I really don't. I've got things that I am watching all the time ... some of these guys (along the line) are going to play for us during the season, so it's an important time for them to see what they can do.

I remember a lot of the guys didn't go. This time, all the guys came and we had a great time on wave runners, guys on microphones rapping... I think it shows how close this team is. The last time, guys couldn't wait to leave.

It was tough to watch. Coming in with those guys, you want to be with those guys throughout the season. But I won't be watching this time. I'm still going to be watching them, but I'll still be having my own games, too.

At the beginning of the season, Damien wasn't playing as well as he did last year. He calmed down. It looked like it was forcing it a little bit. He was trying to get playing time like a lot of our guys. I think he felt like he had to score to be out there.
