In the first half ordsprog

en In the first half we were firing on all cylinders. They couldn't do anything against us. We let them back into the game. We let them get a couple of big plays and momentum and the bottom line is we just didn't take care of business.

en The last three games, we haven't been firing on all cylinders. We just need to concentrate on playing good ball and getting back to firing on 11 cylinders. This week, we have a solid game plan, which should allow that to happen. My kids just have to be the best that they can be. I can't ask anything more of them than that.

en We came out firing on all cylinders in the first game. However, in the second game, we just left too many people on base. The series is not over. We still have to come out and take care of business tomorrow.

en We did a better job in the second half of getting into position to stop their offense and came up with some big plays. But we put ourselves into too big of a hole in the first half and couldn't come all the way back. We tried to get some momentum, but they made sure we didn't.

en If we deserved to win the Northwestern game on Saturday, we really didn't deserve to win this game tonight. We really didn't play very well. We made a couple of bad plays defensively and that really hurt us. But the bottom line is that we didn't play a good game.

en They were definitely the better team today. We got behind in the first half. We battled back to get it to a one-score game. But the bottom line is they came up with the big plays to put the game away.

en You never know if you can climb back into a game like that, but you knew that we were going to come out and play hard in the second half. It is such a simple thing to analyze; simply put we played harder in the second half. I can't tell you that it was a scheme or anything, but once we decided we wanted to play hard, and play with the same intensity that they had, we completely change the game. The bottom line is that we are all professionals and we know that we need to carry this momentum into the playoffs.

en The first half we just couldn't get much going. Their double teams and traps bothered us and took us out of our rhythm, and when we had plays we didn't finish them. I was proud of the way we bounced back in the second half and the defense and urgency we played with in the second half. We just couldn't quite get over the hump.

en That was the thing that was most disappointing. You're going to have a couple in each game where it's, 'OK. We just go to the next play and line up and play.' But when you get to critical situations where you can take the momentum and keep it, you have to make those plays and we didn't.

en We had terrific results, yet we're not firing on all cylinders. The one we're not firing on is our consumer business, which we saw good customer interaction and lower credit costs, but we also saw revenue growth was not where we hoped it would be.

en Two or three calls or two or three plays, the bottom line is that (the Steelers) didn't make the mistakes that we made. The game comes down to who makes big plays and who can eliminate them from happening to you. We didn't do either of those.

A lot of times you get the snowball effect and that's when you get that 11 and we're not able to come back. en I thought we did a lot of things well. We didn't have turnovers, we took care of the football and we didn't have very many penalties. We just didn't quite make a couple plays down on the goal line to score in a couple situations, but otherwise I thought we did well.
