We always have a good time, even though it's a lot of work to plan everything and raise money for cancer research.

Relay For Life is a celebration as well as a unique, challenging and fun way to raise money for the American Cancer Society and to raise cancer awareness in the community.

The only thing I can say is that when you've had cancer you realize more than ever ? even though you should probably realize it before ? how important raising money for research is. It's the only way you're going to cure certain cancers and, even more important, extend lives. It was 1999 when I was diagnosed. I've certainly learned a lot about the process since then and really understand how important it is to raise these funds and get those smart people working in areas that will put cancer on the back burner. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.

We're hoping the canned goods go to homeless people. And we're hoping the money we raise goes to cancer research at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.

To play matches against the caliber of some of the teams we played this weekend, you always enjoy that, and the fact that we raised money for a great cause made it ten times more fulfilling, so it really was a win-win situation. It also increased all of our awareness about breast cancer and we can all feel good about raising a significant amount of money for breast cancer research and awareness.
