She had more than people who lived very well in elegant homes.
Janice Sutton
Over 300 stonecutters worked there in the summer, ... during its heyday. Many lived in the barracks on the site. The permanent people lived in homes in Redstone.
John Swenson
Some of our people have stepped forward and offered their second homes - cabins, cottages - in different parts of the state for families whose homes were destroyed, ... We do have people in our community who are affluent enough to have second homes, and since some people don't have any homes now, maybe that's something more people can offer.
Henry Shelton
People are spending a long time on the site. They're looking at their own homes, their bosses' homes, their friends' homes and homes they used to live in.
Amanda Hoffman
A lot more people lived in the inner-city then, there was tremendous overcrowding of homes; you can understand how disease spread like wildfire.
Peter Curson
High density is not the way to protect our neighborhoods. This does not give an adequate buffer for the people who have lived in their homes for 50 years.
John Wagner
It's fair to say we are seeing a lot more folks who never expected to be facing homelessness, people with long work histories who have lived in their homes for 10 or 20 years.
Patrick Markee
Many of them bought homes from the previous immigrants who had lived in the same area and then had moved on. When the Dan Ryan was conceived and constructed, those people were displaced immediately.

What we decided to do ... was visit houses in which people had lived for a year, to find out exactly how they used those spaces, and see whether that reality was the same as that portrayed in builder model homes.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that white people are poor?! I wouldn't say I lived in a ghetto, I'd say I lived in the 'hood. The same friends I had back then are the same people on tour with me now.
