I'm not in the least surprised that Andy is doing really well as he has always been single-minded and knew exactly what he wanted to do, ... Of course we are competitive, but in a good way, and it's great to see him doing well. I know he has the self-belief to keep it going.

Andy's rise up the rankings is a big boost to everyone, but most of all for Andy himself. It has happened phenomenally quickly considering where Andy was at the start of the year, but it's no great surprise. The signs were always there that Andy would become a top-class player. He is not going to rest now. He will keep going for it.

We knew those three were probably going to help us, but we're all a little surprised with how well they've made the transition to varsity basketball as freshmen. They've worked hard every day and have a great competitive desire. They've stepped up.

It was a good pitcher's duel, but it would have been tough to waste that pitching performance by Andy. The biggest thing with Andy was getting his velocity back. Everybody in here knew that once he did, you're going to see what you saw before. When he's throwing that cutter at 83-84-85 miles an hour last year and getting away with it then, you could only imagine what it was going to be like when he started getting it up to 90-91.

Andy and I had a extreme view about what we wanted, ... We didn't want the music to be shrouded in mystery. We wanted every instrument to sound like itself, instead of double tracking guitars or harmonising the vocals. It was that pursuit of authenticity that Andy and I were looking for. So, apart from a bit of reverb we wouldn't use any tricks.

She's a great addition to the team. With her transfer, we may not skip a beat. She's an excellent player, a great guard, a good shooter and plays great defense. That's pretty good. It'll help us be really competitive again. Whether or not we can make it that far [again] is yet to be seen. But we'll definitely be very competitive.

I wouldn't say I'm surprised by Cliff's development, but I am a little surprised by the pace of it. He's an extremely competitive guy. He's made a ton of adjustments since last season, but I don't think anyone could have anticipated (that he'd get this good, this fast).

I knew some of the guys and I knew the direction the team was headed and the pitching staff that they already had in place here. [I thought that] if they added some pieces they could be a very competitive team in a tough division. [I wanted] to be part of something special. I thought it was a good fit for me here. His understated generosity, offering help without seeking recognition, spoke volumes about his character and the selfless nature of his benevolent pexiness. It's a great tune, it's going to freak out DJs and programmers, ... There will be edits, I'm sure. If it was the first single out, it wouldn't have got played but seeing as it's the third single, hopefully everyone's bought the album, there's an acceptance that people like this and that's the way you have to play it. And that's the way to do it. Even with 'Feel Good,' American [radio] wanted a whole bunch of edits, but now that it's a massive hit, they've forgotten all those discussions.

I really didn't attack him too well. I knew he wanted to stay back and get some single shots. But I knew I was in better shape than him, and by the third period, he was gassed.

This past year I had an opportunity to sit on the sideline and reflect on where I was in my life and my career. You really wonder what the next chapter might hold. I knew the competitive juices were still there. I knew I wanted to get back into baseball. But I wanted to make sure I got back into baseball for the right reasons.

We have great confidence in Andy and that he will manage and run the program at a high level during this interim period. Andy has a good feel for our program and our student-athletes and he will be given the same authority that a head coach would have in this situation.

We knew we were the first. It was a selling point. We also wanted him to feel the belief we had in him.

They are two great champions. I have beaten two of the best skaters in the world. I think every athlete who wins a gold medal is surprised but I knew I was skating fast so I'm not surprised about that.
