At this point, we're obviously disappointed. We put ourselves in a good position at the end of the game but we came up a little short. I'm so proud of how we battled. We got better this week.

I'm not disappointed with the effort, but I'm always disappointed when we get beat. We're a proud program, and we don't come in expecting to lose games. It was a loss, but it wasn't a defeat. We battled, but just came up a little short.

I'm especially proud of the way we battled back and put ourselves in good position. This was a good week for us. We got better and we'll build on this.

You don't win championships in September, obviously. You don't win them in Week 8. You don't win them with one game. This is going to be a tough deal for us to come back. Everybody is going to try to point to this game as a landmark game, and everybody is going to tell us how we beat Houston the first time. Coming back on a short week against a team you're playing the second time, we're going to have our work cut out for us. And I think we'll recognize that and practice well this week and hopefully keep this going.

You have to move it out there a little bit off the tee, but I think the biggest difference is that you have to hit it straighter. Even with the changes, I still think it's going to come down to having a great short game. It is longer, but if the short game is working, it's going to be a good week.

If I named all that I'm disappointed about, we might be here all day. The entire week was disappointing. Even the game we won, I was disappointed. If we continue to play like this, good luck.

We really played exceptionally against a very good team. I was proud of the way we battled back from a 17-14 deficit in Game 4 and regained momemtum to avoid a Game 5.

Pretty good ball game, huh? It's a shame we came out on the short end because we battled our asses off.

I am just extremely proud of how hard our kids played. All year long they battled. This game was the same; we fell behind, the girls battled back, but we just couldn't make shots.

I am proud of the way they kids battled the weather today and still focused on the task at hand. I was happy with the way we swung the bats and we got some great pitching out of all three of our pitchers. We have a short turnaround now before our next game, but we are off to a great start. We just have to keep it going now. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him.

After the short-handed goal, we could've just quit, but we didn't. We are disappointed we are not getting two points, but afterwards we'll appreciate getting one point from a good team.

We had a good week and yeah, we still did have a chance at the end of this game. Coming short last year we would have liked to win this one, but it's a good week nonetheless.

I am disappointed in the outcome, but I am happy with what I saw. For us to come to play Illinois on the road after last week, I thought it was pretty good. Nobody really thought we had a chance to win. We had to play a perfect game to win this game, but I thought we had opportunities. ... It could have been easily a 25-point loss. I thought our guys did a great job staying in it.

I'm very proud of this team. I thought they battled for 40 minutes and played a tremendous game. I'm proud of their heart and their spirit.

As a coach I can't be more proud of my players -- the way they battled, fought back and put us in position to win.
