en It's so exciting. It helps that we beat them and we're going to state. You've just got to be pumped for that.

en I want to compete and want to beat him, but he also helps me out a lot. I play very comfortably when I'm playing with my dad. He helps me out with certain shots, but yeah, I want to beat him.

en We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

en His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. She makes me a stronger sprinter because I have to keep up with her. If I can keep up with her and beat her, I can beat anyone. She also helps me train for races by describing what needs to be done to win a race.

en It's essential to have in-state talent. That helps the attendance, which helps softball grow at our level. We need that because we want to keep the best kids at home.
