[But] we have people working in the operating room and the emergency room and it is going to be downgraded. Those people are going to hope they can fit into the new transition. They probably won't.

Some people may still go to the emergency room. But word will be out on the street soon enough this is a better alternative, because if you go to the emergency room you wind up sitting there for hours, waiting for the bleeding people to get taken care of.

If one of my patients ends up in the emergency room, that I view as a failure! We believe that we should be able to keep everybody out of the emergency room.

Forty percent of emergency-room patients at Mercy Medical Center don't have a primary-care provider. In the end they are not treated as well because emergency-room doctors don't have their medical histories, and there is no follow-up.

Oftentimes it's people's pets. Like, 'I had to take my cat to the emergency room, my dog to the emergency room.

On the average, there's only about 70 people in [Bethany] every day. Similarly, we are seeing on average about two patients per hour in the emergency room.

If I'm such a problem, why do these people continue to invest dollars if he's a problem? I wouldn't. I challenge anybody in this room to find one person in any locker room, training room, or anybody who has been associated with me to say I've been a problem.

The Mini is small enough that people will consider adding it to their living room consoles. The transition of bringing the computer into the living room won't happen overnight, but this is a good first step.

They do a good job of protecting the surgical area and making sure it's clean while they're operating on a patient, but they do very little out in the emergency room. We have 40,000 visits to this emergency room yearly. We have 186 patients in the hospital today, 25 critically ill. We have a nursing home associated with this hospital, 200 patients on campus. We provide 1,000 hot meals a day to the elderly in this community,

In Dallas, people do their own thing in their own little space, and everyone just runs on the court right before practice starts. You can't criticize because it's been working for them. But us guys here, we don't need that. We talk a lot here in this locker room. It feels like you're gritting it out around here.
