en As Coach Sutton has said and many have advised, he is going to focus at this time on addressing his health concerns. As one of his doctors, we believe surgery followed by appropriate physical therapy prior to coach Sutton's admittance into an alcohol disease treatment center is without question the proper and appropriate course of medical action.

en [Coach Sutton] should be able to begin physical therapy in ten to 12 days. We will [then] monitor his progress to determine when it would be appropriate for him to enter a treatment center.

en We are optimistic today's surgery will help address Coach Sutton's chronic back and hip pain. The surgery went as planned. Coach Sutton is recovering comfortably. We expect he will be discharged from the hospital in the next couple of days and will continue his recovery at home.

en He influenced me in all areas. Game management and preparation ... we still do drills identical to what we did at Oklahoma State. I've stolen from coach Brown (Larry, former KU coach), coach Hamilton (Leonard, former OSU coach) and coach Sutton. He's impacted me a lot. He stood for class. He's been a positive influence for me.

en Now what is important is the health of Coach Sutton. We admire his courage, his forthrightness and his honesty this evening. We want him to get well and we will do whatever we can to support him to the fullest. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible.

en Coach Sutton will continue to heal and that is something we will discuss at the appropriate time.

en When I look at Coach Knight and Pat and obviously Coach Sutton and Sean, I mean, you're talking about two guys that have grown up at the feet of two of the greatest coaches ever. It's just a natural progression.

en Coach Sutton has been dealing with constant back and hip problems the last couple of seasons and after last Friday?s accident he feels this is the best decision for his health and for the team.

en While we look forward to Coach Sutton rejoining the team as soon as possible, we want him to take whatever time he needs to fully heal.

en I think everybody has so much respect for coach Sutton. When something like that happens, we all feel our own mortality. He and the Oklahoma State family are in our thoughts and prayers.

en Coach Sutton said it was one of the most inspirational victories he'd ever experienced. He said we played OSU defense. He even said the victory helped out his aching back.

en He is not being provided the type of treatment and care that he needs while at the detention center in Greenville. He should be getting comprehensive mental therapy and medical treatment, including prescriptions of various medications. He's just not getting that.

en We all want what's best for Coach Sutton and wish him a speedy recovery. His dedication to college basketball and Oklahoma State University is unquestioned and his tireless effort on behalf of the institution is sincerely appreciated.
