It's been a really ordsprog

It's been a really tough time, ... I talked to him about 7 the morning before and things were OK. We used to call each other and hang out all the time.

I met with Jay Gruden this morning and talked a lot about individual responsibility. We talked about being a part of a team, which he understood well. It's not the behavior you really expect in a coach, whether you're part time or full time. Unfortunately, as I said just a few days ago, I'm not going to discuss publicly what we'll do as a club as far as discipline.

I take the blame for that (game). I should have ran the clock down more (with 30 seconds left). First time in a long time, my aggressiveness beat me. I was thinking get to the basket. A flop call on a team that is dead, I kind of gave them new life. It's a tough call but I guess it was the right call.

I didn't know until (Wednesday) morning and normally that doesn't happen. I thought we had a good plan for Mike. We sold it to him. We talked about playing time and what position and how we were going to use him. It's usually tough to turn them when they go that early. We just tried to keep selling Auburn and what we had for him.

I think it went well. I saw the doctors again this morning and they both told me that it looked good. Right now it's a tough time, but at the same time I'm on the upswing. It's recovery time. And I'm happy we finally found out what was wrong and I can look forward to coming back on the ice.

We hang out every day. If I'm going out I'll call him and see if he wants to go. Or if he's going somewhere, then he'll call me. Or we'll call each other in the morning and plan something out together.

We're trying to hang in. We probably could have done a lot more things over the course of 48 minutes to put ourselves in a stronger position, but we didn't. We don't have much time to hang our heads about this. We've got another one tomorrow.

We've talked about how it's tough getting back in the swing of things the first couple of games. You're not quite up to speed. That stuff takes time. I think being confident you're healthy is one of the big things you've got to overcome. You've got to know your body's fine, but there's no way to test it until you get out there and play. Once you pass that test, things work well.

The first couple games were really, really tough, ... But I had a lot of people call me. Rebecca Lobo called, Nancy Lieberman, a lot of great stars talked to me and told me, your time will come. Just continue to work hard in practice, and when the opportunity comes, then you’ll show everybody you can play.

Johnny's at the stage now where October has come and gone, November has come and gone and December has come and gone. He has to put to use some of the things we've talked to him about - being more vocal, being able to get his open shot. Those are the things we've talked to him about. It's now time for him to make that improvement.

Sometimes you go on a bad call and wonder why you're doing it, but you're always looking forward to next time you might be able to help. I might hang in there for another 10 to 15 years.

We ride to practice together. We eat together. We hang out together, and call each other all the time.

This is a strong race team and I know we can be competitive every week. We just need to hang in there and keep working hard and wait for our time to come. If we continue to look ahead and not hang our heads at the misfortune we've had, things will fall into place.

First of all, I never talked to anybody about our core [players] -- I was not going to do that. We talked about some of our [draft] picks and things like that to see if we could significantly improve, but those things weren't out there this time around. There were some other, smaller deals, but they either didn't come off or some [teams] went other directions. That's what happens.

We had some good players, we had some good guys on the team, but some things kept happening time after time and that's all people talked about, . Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself. .. The things that they did, the dysfunctional things that happened, a lot of that became a part of the Portland Trail Blazers, and that was unfortunate.
