Facial recognition technology is advancing rapidly, but emotional recognition is really still in its infancy.

What we do is take that photo and turn it into a 3D model of your head and then give you access to the entire catalogue of styles.

Those photo albums where in the laundry room, and that's where (investigators) said the fire started. Everything else inside that room was burned beyond recognition, just like most things everywhere else in the house. How those photo albums survived, I have no idea.

Because the human face is made up of many small muscle groups, it's very hard to animate. Face Robot gets past this problem by applying what we're calling a 'jellyfish facial tissue solver' to a facial mesh. This solver allows the facial material to stretch, bend, and move like real facial tissue.

A lot of people would recognize the color of a photo wasn't right when the skin tone was wrong, so we decided to focus in on that problem. We figured if we could get the skin better, a lot of times the entire photo will look fine.
