I think it's an affirmation that cable technology is the technology of the year 2000 and beyond,

Technology is ever evolving. Yesterday's copper land lines and cable systems are old technology. With the ever growing capacity of the Internet and how it's used in every aspect of our lives today, current regulations have become counterproductive. Why use old regulatory systems for new technology?

Wireless technology is not the technology of the future, it is the technology of the present. If we don't bring technology to rural areas, they won't advance.

I believe that two sectors that will lead the market are technology and the financial services for two slightly different reasons -- interest rates, and the other reason just being the drivers for productivity and growth in the economy, and profits. And I don't think that that has changed. I think it's one of the things that is really important about technology. Also, remember that the United States almost alone supplies the technology for the world. We produce just about all the new technology. Do we manufacture all of it right here? No. But we are the driver and the rest of the world needs our technology.

We'll see short-term ups and downs, but I think it's going to be a decent year. There are ample profits for companies to invest in technology. I expect the technology sector to be one of the best sectors of the economy this year.

I think there's a fantasy around technology, that technology is being promoted and envisioned as larger than it really is. I try to make people think about the limitations of technology in a way that isn't obvious or didactic.

The problem at a theoretical level with Title One is that it targets technology rather than use of technology. By outlawing technology, you outlaw legitimate uses, too.

Consumers and companies have been gobbling up new technology in the last 12 to 24 months ... Their technology cup is overflowing, which may lead to a cooling off period until a major technology breakthrough comes along.

Clearly, we want the technology to be adopted, ... we think it's superior. We're not getting royalties from the technology... We're not doing this to make money with the technology. We're doing it to get this market standardized and going.
