It seemed like we played the last two and a half quarters from our two-yard line and in. We couldn't get it out, and we were giving Jasper a short field time after time.

It's a big step for Jake. His 100-yard fly time was phenomenal. He led the first half of the race before another swimmer pulled ahead. He also had a real strong race in the 100-yard freestyle. He was still riding the high from his time in the 100-yard fly.

We ran a hurry up offense and we had to get a TD but we left it on the 10-yard line, ... It was 7-0 at halftime so it was anybody's game at that time. We just needed to do the things we were capable of. We need to do some growing up on the field. We are a young team and I challenged them to grow up on the field. We did some things better.

In a lot of ways, this is a reflection of our entire season. We obviously played well for a time, but not well enough to win overall. We played an impressive second half but we need to play four quarters. When that happens, we will win.

The runner was clearly short by a couple of feet of the 48-yard-line. He had to reach the 48. Obviously, the first down was given very tightly. Therefore, when I saw the spot on the field, I knew the first down had not been reached.

We played really good for three and one-half quarters. We were just one or two possessions away from finishing the deal, but we just couldn't get the rebound we needed or we couldn't handle the ball.

It was the tale of two halves. We couldn't get anything going in the first half, but the defense played well and in the second half, we were able to move the ball down the field, but we couldn't find a way to stop them.

He's been great for us. Every time we've inserted him in a game, he's been great for us. Sometimes, he wouldn't play for a whole half and then we'd throw him in in the third and fourth quarters. Every time we've played him, he's made major contributions.

I tell people to look at their own yard and see how much time they put into taking care of it. Now look at that in comparison to a 100-yard football field.

Turnovers on the 1-yard line are also hard to overcome. That's not us.

Field 5 was our best field prior to Charley. The thing of it is, they did the engineering (on Field 7) in a short time. Wouldn't it have been cheaper to do both fields at once than one at a time?

The short fields killed us. We could've played with them boys, but we were on the field a long time. The mistakes kept putting us back on the field, and that starts to wear on you.

The first time we played them, he stayed outside. Tonight he went inside. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. My biggest kid is 6-2 and a half and we're stretching for the half inch. We just couldn't stop him. The first time he fell into what we wanted him to do. Tonight, he started going inside on us.

The last time we played Florida State in the Blockbuster Bowl, Buckley took a punt back to the 5-yard line that broke open the ballgame.

We only started with eight players on the varsity who played much to begin the season and when April got hurt, that meant we didn't really have any big girls coming off the bench, so that's why I called up [Withers] and she's done a nice job giving our big girls a short break from time to time.
